For those who may have missed the original release, and for those who continue to value the tangible and immersive experience of physical media, we are pleased to announce a second edition. At a time when physical formats are often regarded as obsolete, it is increasingly evident that a renewed appreciation for thoughtfully crafted editions is emerging among listeners and collectors alike.
Blood of the Black Owl's seminal and defining work, WARmth, will once again be made available in a limited-edition color-variant 2xCD format. Produced in strictly limited quantities, this new edition ensures that one of the project's most enduring and influential releases remains accessible to both longtime devotees and new listeners.
To provide a visual representation of this new edition, a selection of photographs has been included. It is important to note, however, that the camera was unable to fully capture the depth, texture, and presentation of the finished release. This is especially true of the chrome-and-silver-on-black CD variant, which appears considerably lighter in photographs than it does in person.
This edition was printed courtesy of my friend David D'Andrea on his remarkable vintage letterpress. The packaging features ultra-gloss black ink printed on premium 24pt soft-touch black stock, the same material utilized for the 2006 release of Alethes. Housed within Glass Throat Recordings' exclusive 6-inch deluxe gatefold CD format, the presentation reflects the label's ongoing commitment to craftsmanship and detail.
Each copy will also include a double-sided 6-inch insert, along with a commemorative sticker while supplies remain available.
The artwork and lettering for this edition were created by David D'Andrea and James Woodhead. The photography, sigils, and ritual adornments surrounding the Nauthic sculpture were contributed by myself as an offering in honor of this particular manifestation of the work.
Included below are a selection of testimonials originally published alongside the collection's first release in 2015. These reflections resonated deeply with me, as they seemed to articulate, with sincerity and insight, the spirit and intention underlying what was offered.
My gratitude to each of you for taking the time to read, engage with, and support this work.

"This is gorgeous. The mix is so clear, honest and alive. The pain and love which went into this creation transfers easily and in a welcoming manner. As a listener, I hear and feel the heart beating. The production is flawless, I'm trying to wrap my head around the quality of the timbre you have captured, it's really inspiring.
Your craft is true and the local communities close and distant have much to gain from your work.
As a composer, your work seems to have always carried a whisper of Florian Fricke and Popol Vuh's cinematic transcendence, it is so wonderfully present on this album but there is also something else. A deeper side of your wisdom and personal energies that is coming through. It's quite refreshing and stirs many different emotions within me. There is this bridge that the songs walk, it goes between two valleys, in one meadow I am brought to tears because the struggle is often to relentless and vast for me to conquer. But on the other side, across the bridge, lies another, a valley that I am able stretch out in, to dance, and circle the ones I love. I am at peace with that dichotomy because it is what this life is often about and what many of us are working through, healing from, and or transcending beyond. In my own spiritual work, I am becoming aware there is not two separate pieces of land that are connected by way of a bridge, but that there is still a larger valley that contains the two, and there is even a larger mountain range, a thousand lakes, clouds, trees, etc. I am free to travel and commune with all of it, we can be that fearless and free. These are the thoughts that your music awakened in me."

"I am grateful to have found your music...it really restores, heals and reflects a beautiful and deep relationship to the land that I love here in the Northwest more than anything I've heard (along with various tribal music and stories). When I listen I hear the heartbeat of land, sea and sky of this so accurately...THANK YOU! It's so good to know someone else "listens and understands." Many blessings to you!
