THE 5TH FULL LENGTH BLOOD OF THE BLACK OWL COLLECTION ENTITLED "WARmth" IS NOW AVAILABLE!

Folks, it has been a very long time since I've had anything to share. As some of you may already know, I have a new Blood of the Black Owl collection that was officially released (digitally) through my own Glass Throat Recordings on August, 13th MMXV. The collection is entitled "WARmth" and it can be purchased exclusively right here.

After minimal interest from a handful of European labels, I've decided to move on from the efforts of seeing this collection ever released as an actual physical artifact. However, I'd like to take a moment and thank those labels for their time, interest and reassurance towards the work offered within this collection. I'm humbled and honored to have had such correspondence as I deeply respect them all.

A special thank you to my friend Dean Berry for taking the time and truly believing in "WARmth." Through his amazing connections, he inspired and took things upon himself to see that this collection was indeed shared through a physical artifact. His champion means more to me than he'll ever know.

May I also take a moment to thank those of you thus far, whom have shared their personal comments and reviews of "WARmth." I've been left speechless to think the medicine I've offered within this collection, has found an authentic connection within you. Feel free to read them here.

ADDRESSING TECH ISSUES & NEW DISTRIBUTION FOR GLASS THROAT...FINALLY!

I'm excited to announce a new distribution relationship with Germany's Dark Vinyl Records. Honestly, in recent years, I've felt labels, distributors and mail-orders have turned their backs and in some cases, blatantly ignored the artists and releases of Glass Throat Recordings.

With that said, I'm honored and tremendously humbled to say that Glass Throat Recordings first and foremost, has been built upon the folk and not the pompostic industry. Throughout these said years, it has been the people's word of mouth that have kept Glass Throat Recordings authentic and humble. I'm deeply in debt to you all for becoming such a strong foundation for the spirit of this vision. Trust me there have been many times I've been ready to throw in the towel!

So, having DV reach out with such enthusiasm and support truly helped to rekindled that particular flame once again. The German underground art and music communities throughout the years, regarding various aspects and levels of the industry, have been brilliantly supportive of my own sounds and the releases of GTR. Once again, DV continues to show this respect. Thank you Uwe and company as I'm so honored to have it.

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE, I've been noticing, as I know YOU ALL have been receiving our older posts being resent to my subscribers. I have no idea as to why this has been occurring. They are random and usually posts from a couple years ago. I've inquired regarding the matter with blogger and to no avail. So, I'm wondering if any of you out there know of a much better "free blog" to be used as a news format I could move to? Other than FB! Or, perhaps some of you may have some answers as to why this is happening and how to fix it? My apologies to all of you whom have continued to receive e-mails that are outdated. Perhaps some of you deleted your subscriptions cause of it, if not thank you for your patience. 

Well folks, it's been sometime. Really nothing much more to mention as of late regarding music. Perhaps I could bring up a potential release schedule, however I'd really prefer to not jump the gun till things have been truly set in stone. One of which pretains to a potential release for GTR that is ***SO EXCITING*** I just can't believe it. I can only hope you will all feel the same as I do, providing you follow this solo artists career. If so, then it's safe to say you will. :-)

Anyhow, MMXV should be a good year and long over due for Glass Throat Recordings.

Wanted to share that my 2006 collection of "Moss & Memory" has been supported by the United Kingdom's Legalise Freedom program. Thanks to Greg Moffitt for the supportive force and playing my work throughout one of his most recent interviews. Must say the company I'm within musically is tremendously humbling and quite an honor. Here is the mission statement of Legalise Freedom for those unaware of his work.

GOODWIN'S WAY TRAILER NOW RELEASED...

I am tremendously honored to share the very first trailer for documentary film director Neil Vokey's "Goodwin's Way." More information regarding the film is available here. For those of you who may have missed my last posting some months ago, selected works from the "Moss & Memory" collection have been used to score the film as well as within the trailer. More to come regarding the film's official release date.

BLOOD OF THE BLACK OWL'S COMPANION DIGITAL EP TO 'LIGHT THE FIRES!'...

AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY HERE JUNE 21st MMXIV.

The A Side: "Spirit Canoe: Hailing Father Sky" ritual was initially recorded back in February of MMXI during the "Light the Fires!" sessions and was intended to be an exclusive opening ritual to the "Light the Fires!" vinyl format, replacing the CD version "Caller of Spirits." The vinyl format was never released for "Light the Fires!" and the Spirit Canoe offering hibernated till now. In October of MMXIII, "Spirit Canoe" was offered as a track within a digital compilation showcased through Heathen Harvest. It was entitled "Samhainwork II."

The B Side: "Soaring the Shadow Spiral" was a ritual performance captured live during a remote retreat outdoors within the old growth wilderness January of MMXIV. It was later detailed and finished in the studio June of MMXIV.

 Both tracks feature: Moose hide frame drums, indigenous flutes, thunder gong, Tibetan and Germanic horns, shakers & rattles, elk hooves, brass tubular bells & Mongolian herding bells, Mt. Dulcimer, original environmental recordings, Voices & ritual Galdr offered through Mystery by Chet W. Scott.

 Please note neither of these tracks have been mastered. I'm hoping that perhaps one day, both of these rituals will see a proper physical vinyl release if the right publisher was to take interest? However, lets not hold our breath. For now, it will exist as a digital download and I'm thankful that folks are able to finally journey with these two offerings.
