I had no idea you started with metal! though I'm not surprised because Blood of the Black Owl's S/T was masterful blackened funeral doom, it couldn't happen by accident. I for one, would enjoy hearing the demo sometime if you ever cared to reissue or make it downloadable... seems you don't care for it :)

I didn't really get into metal until the last 10 years or so but it sounds like we followed a similar path, and after touching on old school black and death metal, I branched out into some truly wonderful if unexpected forms of music and it's become such a critical part of my life as a listener (I can't seem to compose anything of value yet, maybe someday). So even though society disappoints or disgusts you (me too) just know there are others out there who feel the same and we can appreciate your works on various levels :) I do what I can to spread the word and support good artists with the little I can offer.

I had to look up who "Vardlokkur Einar Kvitrafn Selvik" is and found out it's Wardruna! Let me just say, you collaborating with Wardruna would be EPIC even if you think it unlikely. I absolutely love the spirit and atmosphere of their first CD and it will be a highlight of my year when they release the second, be it in one or ten years from now. It's great tribal shamaanic music from a forgotten time of European history.

Maybe you've heard it, but I'm this second listening to HeathenHarvest's free Samhain compilation and enjoying it: http://heathenharvest.org/2011/10/27/heathen-harvest-samhain-sampler-now-online/ - I only found out about it recently. Based on the first hour, I think it would be right down your alley. They released another comp a few months ago for Walpurgisnacht.Bennoreply@blogger.com
